A highly experienced business advisor, Kate has spent over 30 years working directly with the owners and executives from a broad array of small to medium enterprises – both privately owned and ASX/Nasdaq listed – as a professional advisor, executive and non-executive director.
Very much a people person, her personal style involves a focus on and drive to achieve the end goal, a no-nonsense approach to problem solving and a core belief in culture as a lever to achieve success.
A former senior partner and first female board member of Top 4 accounting firm Deloitte, Kate also had a personal involvement in the transformation of Deloitte Australia. She has more recently been focussing her energies and considerable talents into Non-Executive Director appointments and part time executive roles, across industries ranging from professional services to biotechnology, where she is relishing the challenges of business transformation, including mentoring and coaching of promising individuals and emerging businesses.
Kate counts herself lucky to live in an inner-city suburb in Sydney, in an old terrace house completely renovated together with her builder husband, along with two adult daughters and a much-cherished poodle cross named Charlie. Once a month she cooks and serves lunch for clients of the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre in Newtown and is a true believer in the role of food as a symbol of welcome and friendship.
