Philippa is a seasoned leader and strategist with international experience in developing trade promotion strategies to assist businesses as they enter international markets. She has worked in Australia and in international markets including the USA, Italy and Canada.
Philippa has a proven track record of leading diverse global teams with a focus on solid leadership, business strategy, service delivery, business development and change management. She has held executive roles within Government including as Head of Trade and Chief Operating Officer of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and within start-ups.
With a passion for helping organisations connect the dots, Philippa specialises in client and community engagement. She has worked in, and consulted to, both private and public enterprise.
A passionate advocate for economic development, especially in regional Australia, Philippa is currently CEO of FermenTasmania Ltd, an industry-led, not-for-profit economic cluster established to accelerate innovation, growth and collaboration for fermentation-based enterprises and a Board Director of Brand Tasmania and the Global Trade Professionals Alliance.
Philippa holds a Bachelor of Economics (majoring in Japanese), Graduate Diplomas in International Relations and Public Administration and a Masters Degree in Marketing Communication as well as qualifications in project management and coaching. Outside of work, Philippa is a passionate cyclist, hiker and traveller.
