Tawanda Mangere




Tawanda has over 20 years’ experience across Investment Banking covering Venture Capital, Risk & Compliance, Private Equity primaries, secondaries and co-investments, Structured Finance, Project Finance, IPOs, Private Placements, Corporate turnarounds/restructuring M&A, DCM/ECM,  Corporate Advisory & Restructuring, Distressed Investment and Asset management expertise on buy and sell side. He has raised over $5 billion in assets for alternative investments including private equity, private/ opportunistic credit and hedge funds. His experience includes leading a syndicate of venture investors into a select group of global companies with strong technology underpinnings, highly differentiated offerings, and validation from sophisticated buyers. He enjoys the benefit of a huge global network across venture capital, Investment banking,  entrepreneurs and enterprise, from which he has applied a selective criteria for principal investments, as an Angel and Corporate investor (until recently partner at Blumberg Capital, a US based VC with $650M under management and Meridian Asset Management a firm he co-founded with over 1.5B Assets under Management. Tawanda spent an early part of his career in Public practice to Director level and moved into investment banking holding senior executive level roles with First Capital, Lehman Brothers, Barclays Capital, JP Morgan, KKR, Chase Capital Partners, IOOF. Tawanda has worked across all continents and is fluent in 7 languages. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (UK) and CA Australia, holding an MBA and degrees from Oxford university and Imperial College.

He is particularly passionate about helping founders get ideas off the ground and navigate the challenges of building/growing businesses with a focus on the intersection of the start-ups and good governance which creates a concrete foundation for the future of any business.
